ALVA’S Varna Virasat 2012, an art camp and exhibition, was inaugurated by Thrissur-based Prem Manasvi Paul (formerly Heinz Johannes Paul from Germany) on January fourth 20012. Speaking on the occasion, Paul said that in matters of art, India has been a rich country. Human feelings find expression in the form of creactive art, he added.
Mr. Manohar Shetty, the Chief Guest said Varna Virasat reflected creativity through the medium of art. Everyone may not be blessed with a flair for art. This event would witness valuable artwork emerging from the brushes of artists who would converge here, he further said.
Venkatakrishna welcomed the gathering and compered the function. Senior artist Ganesh Somayaji thanked everyone. Art promoter Kotiprasad Alva from Mangalore, students and a good number of art connoisseurs were present on the occasion.
