Alva’s Deepavali was celebrated with pomp this year, with more than 500 artists participating. It comprised of professional artists along with students of Alva’s Education Foundation who performed various cultural dances and music performances. It was a cultural delight to a relactively younger audience. More than ten thousand people enjoyed Alva’s Deepavali 2012 held at Vidyagiri Campus on 8th December 2012. There were 40 troupes who performed live at this event. The audience also witnessed dazzling performances from the Srilankan team, Prince group from Orissa,and Beda Nrithya by Gopal Bai, Ahmedabad.The programme comprised of various dances, instrumental and vocal performances, marshal arts, yoga etc from the students of Alva’s. The whole ambience was decked up with colourful lamps which had a mesmerizing effect on the audience. This gave the students a great platform to exhibit their innate talents to a large audience. Alva’s Education Foundation initiated Deepavali celebrations 5 years aga and has become a prominent event in the alva’s cultural calender
